How do I find out if I am registered to vote?
You may call the Montgomery County Department
of Voter Registration at 610-278-3280 to find out if you are registered
to vote.

How do I register to vote?
Fill out a registration form to be mailed to the
Montgomery County office of Voter's Registration or register in person
at the Montgomery County Office of Voter Services at One Montgomery
Plaza, 6th floor, Norristown, PA. Registration is open to any qualified
elector up to thirty (30) days before each election and reopens five
(5) days following each primary election and thirty (30) days following
each municipal and general election. The registration form is available
in the lobby of the Horsham Township building, State Representative
Gene McGill's office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters at
215-784-9586. You may also request a Republican Registration packet
to be mailed directly to your home through the Montgomery County Republican
website.

What if I will be out of town on Election Day?
If you cannot be in town on Election Day, you
may fill out an absentee form to receive an absentee ballot. The absentee
form is available in the lobby of the Horsham Township building, State
Representative Gene McGill's office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters
at 215-784-9586. You may also contact the Montgomery County Voter
Services department at 610-278-3280 or visit the Office of Voter Services
at One Montgomery Plaza, 6th floor, Norristown, PA. If you are in town
the day of the election, you are expected to go in person to the polls
to vote. At that time, inform the Judge of Elections inside your poll
that you had filled out an absentee ballot. The ballot will then be
destroyed, and you can vote in person.

If I didn't vote in the last election, am I still
eligible to vote on Election Day?
You are eligible to vote on Election Day if you
have voted at least once within the last eight (8) years and have not
returned the card sent by voter services within ten (10) days. If you
have not voted in the past two years, you will need to re-register in
order to be eligible to vote. The registration form is available in
the lobby of the Horsham Township building, State Representative Gene
McGill's office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters at 215-784-9586. You may also request a Republican Registration packet to be
mailed directly to your home through the Montgomery County Republican
website.

Can I still vote if I am housebound?
Yes. If you are not able to vote in person on
Election Day, you may fill out an Application for Absentee Ballot form
to receive an absentee ballot. The absentee form is available in the
lobby of the Horsham Township building, State Representative Gene McGill's
office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters at 215-784-9586.
The application must be received in the offices of the Election Board
usually by 5:00PM on the Tuesday prior to the Election.

How does voting by Absentee Ballot work?
You may vote by Absentee Ballot if you are a registered
voter who is unable to appear at your regular polling location on the
day of Election. You are eligible to apply for an Absentee Ballot if
you will be out of the County on Election Day or if you are housebound.
The Absentee Ballot is mailed by the Election Board to the voter if
an Application for Absentee Ballot has been filed. Once the voter receives
the ballot, the voter should vote, seal and return the Ballot to the
Election Board before the deadline to return voted Absentee Ballots,
5:00PM on the Friday before the election. The Application for Absentee
Ballot is available in the lobby of the Horsham Township building, State
Representative Gene McGill's office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters
at 215-784-9586. The application must be received in the offices of
the Election Board usually by 5:00PM on the Tuesday prior to the Election.

If I become physically ill or disabled or am
called out of the County because of business or occupational duties
after the deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot what should I do?
You may still apply for an Absentee Ballot by
executing an emergency application up until 5:00PM on the Friday before
the election.

What are the eligibility requirements to vote?
A potential voter must be a citizen of the United
States or a naturalized citizen with proof of naturalization, 18 years
or older, a resident of the state at least 30 days prior to the election,
and must not have been confined in a penal institution for a felony
conviction within the previous 5 years. Registration must be completed
at least 30 days prior to the election.

What do I do if I move into a new election district or have changed
my name because of marriage or some other reason?
You may re-register to vote if you have moved
into a new election district or to change your name. The registration
form is available in the lobby of the Horsham Township building, State
Representative Gene McGill's office, or contact Horsham Republican Headquarters
at 215-784-9586. You may also request a Republican Registration packet
to be mailed directly to your home through the Montgomery County Republican
website.

What if I need assistance to vote?
You may require assistance in voting due to blindness,
disability, or inability to read or write. You are not permitted to
receive any assistance in voting at any primary or election unless your
voter's registration card in the district bears a declartion that you
require assistance in order to complete the act of voting for the reason
specified by the voter on your registration card and the election officials
are satisfied that you still suffer from the same condition.
